Sugar23 Signs ‘To All The Boys’ Franchise’s Lana Condor
Michael Sugar’s Sugar23 has signed Lana Condor, the award-winning actor and producer best known for her breakout performance in Netflix’s YA rom-com franchise, To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before.
In the first film of the same name released in 2018, which adapted Jenny Han’s 2014 novel, Condor took on the role of Lara Jean Covey, a shy high schooler whose love life is thrown into chaos when her secret love letters are exposed. Following its success on Netflix, she reprised her role in the hit sequels To All The Boys: P.S. I Still Love You and To All The Boys: Always and Forever.
Currently, the actress can be heard voicing in the title role in DreamWorks/Universal’s Ruby Gillman: Teenage Kraken, an animated feature also starring Jane Fonda, Toni Collette, and Colman Domingo, which hit theaters nationwide in June. Condor made her acting debut alongside Jennifer Lawrence and James McAvoy in X-Men: Apocalypse and has also been seen in Max’s sci-fi rom-com Moonshot with Cole Sprouse, Robert Rodriguez’s cyberpunk action pic Alita: Battle Angel, and the Peter Berg drama Patriots Day.
On the television side, Condor has exec produced and starred in Netflix’s limited comedy series Boo, Bitch, also starring in the Russo brothers’ Deadly Class for Syfy.
Next year, the actress will be seen in the reality TV-focused horror The One, with Riley Keough and Nicholas Hoult, and the romantic dramedy Worth the Wait with Andrew Koji, Ross Butler, Sung Kang and Elodie Yung.
On the digital front, Condor uses her substantial social media presence to bolster causes including The Asia Foundation, through which she established a scholarship to send underprivileged girls and women to school in Vietnam. Most recently, she traveled back to her home country with Michelle Obama and Julia Roberts, to share stories about people there who are supporting girls’ education, alongside Girls Opportunity Alliance and The Obama Foundation.
Condor continues to be represented by CAA, Matt Rosen of Goodman, Genow, Schenkman, and Persona PR.
